Amethysts and iolites were used to emulate Van Gogh’s purple carnations in their various hues.  The fluidity of the shape of the gemstones contrasts with the delicate gold carving utilized in fashioning the carnation stems.  The design is bold and unique, …it is something only Van Gogh could inspire.
